The Organic Loop chair has been made in several formats, as a smooth curves version in epoxy fibreglass (2015), a welded mirror planes version (2014) and in this wireframe version (2013). The structure gives nods to its process of creation in computer modelling software, where forms are often displayed in wireframe as a wayof describing 3d form on a 2d screen. This process allows the inside and outside of the form to be shown at the same time, and creates visually interesting collisions of its lines as a viewer walks around the piece. Although the chair has a machine-like appearance, the structure is completely hand made, the metal sections are individually cut and welded by the artist in his studio.
