Benjamin Kapoor is a Canadian artist and designer based in Brooklyn, New York.
Born in Toronto, he developed his creative approach while working at his uncle Anish
Kapoor’s studio in London, before earning his MFA in Industrial Design from Parsons
School of Design. These experiences shaped his disciplined commitment to form, material
experimentation, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Kapoor’s practice bridges art and design, drawing on his expertise in advanced digital
fabrication - including 7-axis CNC machining - as well as his background in studio furniture
making. His work has been exhibited at Otras Formas Gallery (NYC) and Collectible Design
Fair 2024, and appears in the collections of The Carlyle Hotel (NYC), Hotel Fouquet’s
(NYC), and Cherry (St. Tropez). His projects have also been featured in publications such
as British Vogue Interiors and The New York Times.
